Wednesday, February 9, 2022
The 2022 virtual annual meeting of shareholders will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022. Sealaska will hold a webcast of the annual meeting, which will be available to shareholders through the MySealaska.com shareholder portal. In addition to the webcast, if circumstances allow, the meeting will be held in person at Centennial Hall in Juneau.

Shareholder Resolutions Information
Under Sealaska bylaws and election procedures, resolutions properly subject to a vote of shareholders may be submitted for adoption pursuant to a shareholder vote. This can be done by the Board of Directors or by a person who is an eligible voting shareholder and who continues to be a shareholder on the date of the regular annual meeting and submits a resolution according to the procedures set forth in Sealaska’s bylaws.
Sealaska shareholders who would like to submit a resolution for a shareholder vote, please submit the resolution package by 5 p.m. Alaska time, Friday, Feb. 25, 2022.
Independent Nominee Information
Under Sealaska election procedures, any qualified shareholder may seek a position on the Board of Directors by following procedures for independent candidates set forth in the Sealaska bylaws. The election policies provide any qualified candidate for the Board of Directors the opportunity to include his or her name on the Sealaska proxy, proxy statement and mailings.
Sealaska shareholders who would like to run as an independent candidate for the board of directors, please submit the nominee’s packet by 5 p.m. Alaska time, Friday, March 25, 2022.

As walls rapidly go up on the new Mendenhall Valley location of the Glory Hall, Sealaska’s board of directors sent a strong message of support for the initiative by committing $50,000 to the project at its December meeting. Over the summer of 2019, Sealaska pledged $500,000 in support of the Alaska Native landless communities of Southeast and their continued push for their own village corporations in their communities. Those communities include the five southeast communities of Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, Haines and Tenakee Springs. Together they are home to 4,400 Sealaska shareholders.

Sealaska’s new shareholder bereavement benefit is now known as Deishú Memorial Fund. Deishú roughly translates to “the beginning and the end of the road, eternal journey” in Tlingit.
