Nancy was born March 14, 1944, in Skagway, the daughter of Dorothy Wilson and Theodore Lawrence. She attended Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas, and the Seattle Opportunities Industrial Center. Nancy married Judson R. Thomas on June 10, 2017, in Sitka. An executive chef and professional cake decorator, she especially enjoyed decorating wedding cakes, and she also liked to sew. Nancy loved studying the Bible, and spent endless hours reading it and writing. She always placed God and her family above all. Nancy's husband, Judson Thomas, died May 4 in Sitka; and her son Samuel J. Denny died April 1, 2012, in Anchorage. She is survived by her sons, Robert Skulka of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; William Denny of Anchorage; Theodore Denny, Sitka; and Jeremiah Denny of Copperas Cove, Texas; and her daughter Zipporah Denny, of Sitka.
