2026 Sealaska Election Results

At Sealaska’s 53rd Annual Meeting in Aangóon (Angoon), the Inspector of Elections certified the results of the 2026 election.
Shareholders elected to the Board:
Lisa Lang
Karen Taug
Anthony Mallott
Angela Michaud
Shareholders also did not adopt the resolution proposing limits on discretionary voting.
In this years election, 60.47% of outstanding voting shares were represented, with 1,643,466 total shares cast, compared to 58.62% in 2025. We are grateful to see this level of engagement and thank you for your participation, which plays a direct role in shaping Sealaska’s future.
We extend our appreciation to all Board members, past and present, for their service to Sealaska. Your contributions for over 50 years have shaped who we are today and continue to strengthen Sealaska for future generations. We also recognize outgoing Board member Morgan Howard for his dedicated contributions.
We are equally grateful to Board Youth Advisor Aaní Xhʼakjeek Tláa Perkins for elevating the perspectives of younger shareholders and for the meaningful impact she made during her tenure.
As we move forward with strong momentum across our Board and leadership, we look ahead to continued growth while investing in work that strengthens our People, culture and homelands.

Sealaska Announces $29.7 Million Spring Distribution to Shareholders

Aak’w Kwáan (Juneau, Alaska) — The Sealaska Board of Directors met this Friday and approved the amount for Sealaska’s upcoming distribution. A spring 2026 distribution totaling $29.7 million will be issued to shareholders on Thursday, April 16. The upcoming distribution includes dividends totaling $3 million from Sealaska’s ocean-health business platform, $3.6 million from the Marjorie V.
