Sealaska encourages shareholders to register on MySealaska.com so they are able to download and print their 1099 tax forms to include with their tax filing. If you are a new shareholder who is registering with MySealaska, we offer a few tips below.

- On MySealaska.com on January 21, 2025 (must be logged in to view and print)
- If you receiving your 1099 through the US Mail the forms will be mailed on or before January 28, 2025

A memorial totem pole honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirits (MMIWG2S) was recently raised near Klawock. One of the few remaining birth speakers of the Northern Haida dialect of Xaad kíl, Jane Kristovich (K’ujúuhl), joined her ancestors on August 18, 2021 at the age of 93. In early April 2020, Sealaska’s board of directors approved a $55,000 donation to the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe (YTT) to support the construction of a crime victim shelter in Yakutat. The funding builds on a 2019 Safe Shelter grant from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which allowed YTT to utilize $691,768 of grant funds set aside for tribal entities from the DOJ Office for Victims of Crime (OVC).

Sealaska is sad to announce the passing of longtime director Marjorie (Marge) V. Young from Craig, Alaska. Marge served on the board from 1979 to 2009 and held positions as chair and vice chair during her years of service. Marge was a successful business owner in her hometown of Craig. Sealaska supports the Sitka Tribe of Alaska (STA) taking legal action against the Alaska State Fish and Game in response to its recently published 2019 herring harvest guidelines.
